Seton Hall University Students Keeping Jessica's Memory Alive

Seton Hall University's students continue to keep Jessica's memory alive.  We cannot express in words how much each of you mean to us. Therefore, we want to share with the world the wonderful gestures from her Seton Hall family.  Jessica would be so proud of all of you!

  • On October 29, 2011 at 3:00 p.m., Jessica Townsend and Delores Sarfo-Darko (Jessica's friends) and Freshman Faculty mentor, Rev. Dr. Pritchett, will hold a march protesting violence in Jessica's honor. The march will proceed up South Orange Avenue to South Clinton Avenue where the shooting took place. If you can attend, please come out and take a stand against violence.

  • On September 24, 2011, P.O.E.T.I.C (People of Education Together Influencing Culture) will hold a concert, "JAM to the Beat" from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. in honor of Jessica A. Moore.  The concert will feature unsigned artists in the area and SHU students interested in participaing.

  • Several of Jessica's friends traveled hours to attend the 1st Jessica A. Moore scholarship banquet on May 21, 2011 in her memory.

  • In Jessica's memory, "That's My JAM" t-shirts were sold by the students in order to raise money to donate to the charity, Drop Out to Degree Program. Jessica co-founded that charity before her death.  The t-shirts were designed by one of Jessica's friends.  He did a marvelous job!
