Another Year has Gone By
Three years ago today, our dear Jessica started her day with hopes and dreams and full of life. Less than 8 hours from this minute, her life took a dramatic turn. Our lives were changed forever and hers was cut short. Jessica is in heaven now as one of God's little angels. We continue to fight for justice. We shall not rest until justice has been served. People may move on and forget that tragic evening but her family and friends shall never forget. There is no moving on from a life so well worth living been taken away from us so violently.
I have to replace the image of my dear sweet niece in the hospital bed hooked up to machines and a gunshot wound to her head with the memory of her standing at my front door with a book bag on her back and a big smile on her face. She never lost that smile. I miss my Jessie baby. I know that she is alright because she is with God now. My heart is forever broken because a part of our family is gone. We will meet again one day.
